Winners of Glassford WRI whist

GLASSFORD WRI recently held a successful whist drive.

Winners were: ladies — 1, Jean Burns; 2, Margaret Struthers; 3, Betty Campbell; booby — Margaret Brown and Helen Baillie; gents — 1, Andrew Purdon; 2, William Callan; 3, M. McNiven; booby — Jean Southern.

This year’s annual outing is to Gardening Scotland at Ingliston on Saturday, May 31. Anyone wishing to go should give their name to Elizabeth.

The next meeting will be held on April 10, when Mr Stockman will demonstrate Tasty Starters.
