Lynda is new care head for district

A former Hamilton woman has been appointed head of East Renfrewshire Community Health and Care Partnership.

Lynda Hamilton (50), who grew up in the town and attended Hamilton Academy, started her career in 1976 as an administrative trainee with NHS Lanarkshire where she worked in a range of health service departments.

She went on to work with NHS Ayrshire & Arran before being promoted to human resources management at Glasgow’s Victoria Infirmary.

She then gained her Institute of Health Service Management and Institute of Personal Development qualifications, before becoming assistant director of human resources for Yorkhill NHS trust.

Lynda now lives in Bearsden with her husband and two children.

In her spare time sheenjoys golf, travel, music and reading.
