HAMILTON churches will host a number of Easter services this weekend.
Today (Maundy Thursday) Holy Communion will be celebrated at the West Parish Church at 7.30pm.
There’s also a vigil at St Mary’s Episcopal Church in Auchingramont Road, starting at 9pm.
Tomorrow (Good Friday) St John’s Church in Duke Street is open from noon till 3pm for ‘The Seven Words from the Cross’, with meditations on the hour and half-hour. Holy Communion will be celebrated at the church at 3pm.
Worship continues on Good Friday at 7.30pm at the foot of the Cross at West Parish Church.
An Easter Vigil and Eucharist will be held in St Mary’s Episcopal Church on Saturday at 7pm.
Then on Easter Day (Sunday) there’s an outdoor dawn service at Chatelherault Country Park at 6.30am.
There’s also a dawn service at Hamilton Old Parish Church, Leechlee Road, at 6.30am.
This will be followed by breakfast in the church halls at 7.30am.
Easter Day worship followed by Holy Communion starts at 10.45am in Cadzow Parish Church.
