Warning over bogus charity collector in Uddingston

POLICE are warning Uddingston residents to be on the look out for a bogus charity collector.

A woman visited homes in the Leesland area of the village last Sunday, July 21, trying to collect money for charity.

Aged in her mid 20s, the woman said she was collecting for Viewpark Parish Church, but on other occasions said she was collecting on behalf of Yorkhill Children’s Hospital.

She was wearing a cream and pink track suit, and was described as between 5ft 4ins to 6ins in height with long blonde hair.
