Probation for sword woman

A BLANTYRE woman who carried a sword in a town street has been put on probation.

Moira Canavan, of Parkville Drive, had admitted possessing the weapon near her home on April 8 this year.

At Hamilton Sheriff Court last week, Sheriff Shiona Waldron put the 34-year-old on probation for 18 months.
