A BLANTYRE woman has admitted carrying a sword in a town street.

Moira Canavan, of Parkville Drive, carried the weapon there on April 8 this year.

The 34-year-old admitted the offence when she appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court last week.

Sheriff Shiona Waldron deferred sentence until October 31 and continued Canavan’s bail.
