Schools pledge to go green

SCHOOLS in the South Lanarkshire area have promised to support action to reduce their eco footprints.

They made the pledge during an event at the council’s HQ where they were taught how to measure their school’s footprint and were advised on making energy-efficient savings.

The participating schools included: Biggar High, Calderside Academy, Carluke High, Hamilton Grammar, John Ogilvie High, Lanark Grammar, Larkhall Academy, Lesmahagow High, Strathaven Academy and Uddingston Grammar.
