High Blantyre Teen faces attempted murder rap

A HIGH BLANTYRE teenager appeared in court this week charged with the attempted murder of a Lanarkshire man.

Craig Stewart (19), of Main Street, made no plea or declaration at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Monday.

He was bailed on the condition he does not go into the West Mains area of East Kilbride.

David Torrance was left in a coma following a vicious attack as he made his way home from a night out three months ago.

The case was referred to the High Court in Glasgow.
