Blantyre Ramblers' outing

BLANTYRE Hillwalking and Rambling Club enjoyed fine weather for their recent visit to Bridge of Orchy.

One group tackled the two-Munro route of Stob a Coire Odhair and Stob Ghabhar, whilst another group walked up Ben Invervey. A low-level group walked from Bridge of Orchy onto Rannoch Moor, via the West Highland Way. These groups enjoyed a social stop at the Inveroran Hotel.

Three groups boarded the train to Corrour. The routes tackled there were Beinn na Lap, the two-Munro route over Carn Dearg and Sgor Gaibhre, and Leum Uilliem, the hill made famous in the Trainspotting film.

The club’s next outing is to Aviemore on June 7, when transport leaves at 7.30am. For further details, phone Brian Miller on 01698 426667 or Steve Illingworth on 01355 230616.
