Solution to parking woes in Blantyre
Regarding last week’s letter highlighting the traffic problem in Station Road, Blantyre.
Motorists who do not live there leave their cars in the street and even at bus stops while they get the train to work.
This makes it a nightmare not only for residents, but for those of us who have to take the bus to East Kilbride or Asda via Station Road.
I wholeheartedly support the person who wrote the letter and suggest that all residents with cars be given parking permits. I would also suggest that traffic wardens be employed to issue tickets to those who illegally park there.
