Woman denies frying pan assault

A BLANTYRE woman this week denied repeatedly hitting a man on the head with a frying pan.

Caroline McLinden (55) pleaded not guilty to repeatedly striking Andrew McLinden on the head with the weapon to his injury at her 47 Calderwood Drive home on Monday, April 7.

Sheriff Vincent Smith adjourned the trial until May 20 and granted the accused, now living in High Blantyre Road, bail.

Conditions of bail included not approaching or contacting, or attempting to approach or contact, Andrew McLinden and not entering 47 Calderwood Drive.
