Trust fixes up garden for kids’ nursery

A GROUP of young Lanarkshire people taking part in a Prince’s Trust programme recently rolled up their sleeves and performed a garden makeover for Westpark children’s nursery in Hamilton.

The green fingered group, who are from Hamilton, Blantyre, Larkhall and East Kilbride, transformed the children’s gardens by weeding, laying fresh bark, restoring picnic benches and resurrecting a tree house that had fallen into disrepair.

Motherwell College’s 12-week Prince’s Trust programme is aimed at 16 to 25-year-olds and helps develop confidence, motivation and skills through undertaking various community projects.

This programme is supported by South Lanarkshire Council Universal Connections and part-funded by the European Social Fund.
