American university choir perform in Strathaven

RANKIN Parish Church is to host a concert by 22 young students from the Georgia Tech University Glee Club Choir, from Atlanta, Georgia, USA.

They will perform on Thursday, May 8, at 8pm.

The Glee Club is the oldest student organisation on the Georgia Tech Campus, founded in 1906.

For the past two years, the Glee Club served as ensemble-in-residence in Honolulu at the 2006 and 2007 Hawaii International Conference on Arts and Humanities.

The Glee Club have also released their first studio CD recording, entitled Sing Kindred Voices. Tickets are £3, or £2 for concessions, available by contacting the church.
