Touch of tartan at celebration of Burns’ birth

PUPILS at Robert Owen Memorial Primary School in Lanark held their own special concert to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the birth of Robert Burns.

The school’s annual Scottish concert is always a popular event with pupils, staff and parents – and this year’s anniversary event was no exception.

Pupils from across the school took part – as did head teacher David Lynas much to the delight of his pupils and staff.

The concert featured recitations, music and dance, with pupils also dressing the part, as our photographs by Billy Quigley show.
