Dalziel janitor retires after 23 years

DALZIEL High School’s janitor Eddie Campbell last week retired after 23 years of service.

Eddie has been involved in countless events and activities at the Motherwell school.

Among his many successes was winning the Director of Education Cup in 2004 for preventing the school from burning down in a fire.

Eddie was honoured with a presentation last week in which retired janitor John Sommerville serenaded Eddie and the staff to his own version of the Heinz classic "Just Like Eddie".

Eddie will be missed at the school and everyone offers him a long and happy retiral.
