TEACHER: Lesmahagow High School have welcomed Mrs C. Leiper as new principal teacher of mathematics. Thanks go to Mr Bryson, who has managed the department so effectively for the last 15 months following the retiral of Mr. Armstrong.

CAMPAIGN: Pupils at Lesmahagow High will soon embark on an anti-litter campaign, aimed at solving the perennial problem of unsightly litter in and around the school at certain times of the day. All staff and pupils will be involved in the campaign and the Pupil Councils and Eco Club will be in the forefront of this vital initiative.

OUTINGS: A number of trips are already planned for this session at Lesmahagow High, including a theatre outing to London in February; skiing trip to Austria during the Easter holiday; excursion to Paris in June, and the long-running golf trip to St. Andrews.

NEW CLUB: Lesmahagow High hope to start a new Natural History Club. The club is aimed at all pupils with an interest in wildlife.
