Cam strikes a chord

HAMILTON Grammar have held their Young Musician of the Year competition.

Fergus Kerr, a professional freelance musician, was guest adjudicator alongside Deputy Head Teacher Alex Livingstone and Sara Burns, drama teacher.

Overall winner was first year pupil Cameron Gosling on the guitar. He was awarded the McArthur Shield.

Winner in the middle school category was Rebecca Fisher, and Ramis Salim, from sixth year, took the senior school prize.

Around 300 guests enjoyed the evening at the school, in which 24 pupils took part.
