Senior citizens enjoy festive show

JUNIOR pupils from Hamilton College invited residents of local care homes to the dress rehearsal of their Christmas nativity play.

Eight Hamilton-based homes accepted the invitation and the children performed in front of 40 senior citizens.

The senior citizens enjoyed "The Nativity", which was performed by pupils from J1-J3. Pupils from J4 sang "Happy Birthday Baby Jesus" and "Joy to the World".

The visitors entered into the festive spirit, pulling Christmas crackers and wearing party hats. Senior school students and staff chatted with their guests and served tea, coffee and mince pies. The children presented their guests with Christmas cards and shortbread.
