A PRIMARY school in Larkhall got into the festive spirit when they transformed into ‘old Arabia’ for the school’s Christmas show.
Youngsters at Craigbank Primary School performed a magnificent production of Aladdin to packed audiences. The show involved all pupils in the school, including P1 and P2, who gave an enchanting rendition of favourite Christmas songs after the main show.
Although all the children worked hard to learn songs and dances, pupils from the upper school bravely took the lead roles and performed them with determination and commitment.
Joshua McLuckie (Aladdin) and Chloe Adams (Princess Jasmine) were totally believable as they whisked the audience around on a magic carpet ride.
The hilarious genie was played by Marc Moncrieff and the ‘baddie’, Jafar was realistically played by Danielle Baillie, with Caitlin Millar and Kyle Ware portraying his bumbling sidekicks.
The new school was built last year and this is the first show to be performed in the auditorium.
As part of the school's Citizenship programme, a free performance was given to residents and groups in the community.
