INQUISITIVE kids from Douglas Primary recently had the opportunity to learn more about democracy during a trip to the Scottish Parliament.
The group met with Aileen Campbell, MSP for South of Scotland, who chatted to the group for half an hour, answering questions about life as an MSP and the Scottish Parliament.
Schools can arrange for a custom-made visit to Holyrood, which includes a tour of the building, a special information pack, and the chance to speak directly to their MSPs.
Ms Campbell said: “I was delighted to meet with the students from Douglas, who were full of enthusiastic and thoughtful questions.
“Hopefully it was a useful session for them and they enjoyed their visit to the Scottish Parliament.”
