HAMILTON College pupils and staff took part in a debate last week about the future of education in the digital age.
Schools from across the West of Scotland were invited to join business leaders, economists and academics to discuss the link between young people, education, information technology and entrepreneurship.
The debate took place at Glasgow Science Centre.
College students who attended were able to appreciate the importance of their IT skills and how easily they can adapt to an ever-changing field.
Leaders from institutions such as Microsoft Scotland, SQA, The Herald and Young Scot opened the floor to a question-and-answer session, giving the young people the chance to offer their views and opinions.
David Browning, an IT teacher at Hamilton College, said: "The pupils got a lot out of the session.
“As a small school, we are well placed to take on changes and new developments. We already work hand-in-hand with our business studies department, which means we can quickly implement many of the ideas discussed".
