LESMAHAGOW High School are holding an S5/S6 parents’ evening on Wednesday, November 26, at 7.30pm.

PUPILS from the school took part in a talent show on Friday in aid of Children in Need.

Thanks go to everyone who took part. Thanks also go to the pupils and staff who helped organise the event.

FIVE pupils from Lesmahagow High were part of the Lanarkshire Band who won a silver award at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama on November 9.

Congratulations got go Ryan McGaffney, Caitlin Cadden, Gillian Cadden, Caroline Brown and Kirsty Brown on their deserved win.

Ryan and Caitlin continued their success last Tuesday when, with Susan Cunningham, Emma Watson, Kirsten Whitefield and Katie Cunningham, they performed to a high standard at the Rotary club’s Young Musician of the Year competition. Susan was runner-up and she and Kirsten will now compete in the National Rotary Young Musician event in February.

THANKS go to the sixth year students who collected £97.29 for this year’s Poppy Appeal.

The total raised by the school for various charities this year is £1356.23.
