Cancer charity enjoys cash boost from pupils

PUPILS at Hamilton Grammar coined it in for charity.

They raised a magnificent £280 when they held a coffee morning as part of the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning event, organised by Macmillan Cancer Support.

The school were also given a donation of £50 from Machanhill Primary in Larkhall, after they raised money during the Harvest Thanksgiving.

Macmillan Cancer Support’s Fundraising Manager Fiona Leitch went along to Hamilton Grammar to collect a cheque for £330 from some of the pupils and to tell them about the work Macmillan does to help people living with cancer.

The South of Scotland fundraising office for Macmillan Cancer Support is based at 25 High Street, Biggar.
