New head boy and girl at Grammar

HAMILTON Grammar School have elected a new Head Boy and Girl for this academic year, 2008-2009.

Grant Cuthbert and Katie McCrae were voted in by the sixth year pupils of the school and they will be voicing their views as part of the school’s pupil council.

Their duties will include making speeches at prize giving events, as well as promoting the whole school ethos by representing the Grammar at local charity and social occasions.

A spokesman for the school said: “It is a challenging role and both staff and pupils of the school are delighted with the hardworking and committed individuals who were chosen from a long list of strong candidates.”

Grant and Katie will be supported by Depute Head Girl, Kirsten Anderson, and Depute Head Boy, Stuart Bence.
