THIS week’s Class Acts are primary four pupils at Chatelherault Primary, Hamilton.
They have been nominated by their principal class teacher, Veronica Walker, for their hard work in raising funds for charity.
The P4 children were studying a charities topic, about disability and the community following a talk from Martin McArthur.
Martin is a representative from the Bobath charity, which helps children who have cerebral palsy.
The support of children with cerebral palsy was pioneered and developed by Dr Karel and Mrs Berta Bobath in the 1940s.
Today, their work is well known and accepted as one of the leading ways of treating the condition, and is where the charity takes its name.
The children raised £109 by hosting various yard sales, and completed tasks and chores for their parents for which they were paid, and then donated the money.
Teacher Miss Walker said: “Well done to all the caring and enterprising children in the class. Class Acts is a new feature in which we ask schools to nominate a class worthy of special praise.”
