Youngsters ready for business projects

SECONDARY schools from South Lanarkshire are to participate in a forthcoming business and enterprise project.

Holy Cross High School, Larkhall Academy and Hamilton Grammar will all take part in the EDGE programme, a Scottish Enterprise initiative which teams students from Scottish and international universities and fifth-year pupils from the west of Scotland with local companies.

The aim of the project is to provide students with entrepreneurial and business skills and to help local companies grow.

EDGE 2008, which was launched on June 17, will include 48 international students, 96 Scottish students and 48 west of Scotland companies.
