Hamilton Grammar musicians set off on European tour

HAMILTON Grammar School music pupils are off on a spectacular European music tour.

Pupils who play in the Hamilton Grammar Orchestra, Concert Band, Jazz Band, Senior Choir and Folk Ensemble are performing in Holland and Germany, with a special performance on a riverboat heading down the Rhine.

Prior to leaving, principal teacher in performing arts Steven Crawford said: “The pupils have been busy rehearsing for months for these performances. They are all very excited.”

The trip is being sponsored by Taggarts, Alston’s, The Villa Hotel, and Phillips.

Phillips’ production manager David Russell visited the musicians at the school to wish them well before they embarked on their tour.
