YOUNGSTERS at a Hamilton primary took part in a School Walk Week.
During the walk, all children at St Paul’s Primary, Whitehill, were encouraged to ditch cars and public transport in favour of the healthier and more environmentally-friendly option of walking to school.
Each class completed a survey every day during School Walk Week, May 12 to May 16, to record the number of pupils that had walked to school, and every child had their own individual diary to keep.
The project was about encouraging pupils to walk to school in a safe manner. Our picture shows children along with parents and school staff outside the Whitehill Neighbourhood Centre at 8.45am.
