Hamilton College's Eclipse shine bright to win top honours

HAMILTON College’s young enterprise team Eclipse showcased their talents at the Lanarkshire Area Board finals last week.

The team had to submit a business report, be interviewed by a panel of business people, and give a presentation on what they have learned from running their own business.

The team were delighted to win the best Overall Award for Quality products and the best Trade Stand at the Lanarkshire Christmas Trade Fair.

The team received book tokens as part of their award and plan to use to then to buy French children’s books for the pupils from Hamilton College to take to Burkina Faso when they go out there in July.

Each member of the team was given a certificate detailing the skills they have demonstrated throughout this year’s young enterprise term, and eight of the team were also presented with certificates for passing the Strathclyde Business School Exam in February 2008. Six of the pupils passed with credit.
