Class Acts: Neilsland Primary, Hamilton
THIS week’s Class Acts are the composite Primary four/five class at Neilsland Primary, Hamilton.
The youngsters were nominated by the school’s senior teacher, Pamela Kelly, for their hard work in promoting active learning.
Along with class teacher Caroline Munro, they have been engaging in a more practical approach to learning.
They have been working in small groups and using games or the interactive whiteboard to learn new things.
Mrs Munro said: “The children have been able to grasp much harder topics in doing this more practical approach to learning, and as a result their achievement levels are higher and their confidence has been given a huge boost.”
Class Acts is a new feature in which we ask primaries to nominate a class worthy of special praise.
Next week’s Class Acts are primary three pupils at Stonehouse Primary.
