Witness plea after club fracas

POLICE were this week appealing for witnesses after a fight in a nightclub.

Police say the disturbance took place inside the Mega Bar in Motherwell at about 1.15am on Saturday, April 25.

During the fight two men, aged 28 and 22, were struck on the head and a 20-year-old woman suffered an injury to her face.

Both men were later treated at Wishaw General Hospital and released.

A man aged between 20 and 30, 5ft. 9in to 5ft 11ins, bald and of medium build is believed to have been part of the group involved in the fight.

This man left the nightclub shortly after the incident - and then drove off in a silver 4x4-type vehicle.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, or who knows the identity of the person thought to have played a leading part in it, to come forward.
