Punched girl (14)

A BLANTYRE teenager last week admitted punching a 14-year-old girl.

Kevin Kelly (18), of Victoria Street, pleaded guilty to assaulting the teenager in Whitehill on May 19.

Kelly’s not guilty plea to assaulting a man on the same day by punching him on the head was accepted by the Crown.

In a separate case, Kelly admitted throwing a brick and breaking a window of a house in Blantyre’s Ballantrae Road on September 30.

At Hamilton Sheriff Court last week, Sheriff Rae Small deferred sentence in respect of both cases until October 29 and granted Kelly bail.
