Charge dropped

THE case against a Viewpark man accused of repeatedly punching another man on the head in a playpark has been dropped.

Thomas Craig (27), of Second Avenue, denied assaulting Robert John Kelly on June 11 at a playpark near his home.

It was alleged that Craig repeatedly punched Mr Kelly on the head, causing him to fall to the ground before repeatedly kicking him on the head.

At Hamilton Sheriff Court last week, the case against Craig was not called.
