Woman denies knife assault

A MOTHERWELL woman has denied striking a man on the body with a knife.

Angela Bain (38), of Glencairn Tower, pleaded not guilty to assaulting Hugh Reynolds with the weapon at her home last Wednesday, September 17.

At Hamilton Sheriff Court last week, Sheriff Douglas Brown granted Bain bail and set trial for December 1.

A condition of the bail order prevents Bain from contacting Mr Reynolds.
