Man (28) is fined £1000 for assault

A BELLSHILL man who punched another man on the head and body to his severe injury has been fined.

William McConnell (28), of Glengarriff Road, admitted assaulting Alexander Rankin on July 11 last year at Melrose Avenue, Holytown.

At Hamilton Sheriff Court last week, Sheriff Joyce Powrie fined McConnell £1000.
