Clubber ‘threw table’ at window

A HAMILTON clubber allegedly thew a table at an upstairs Hamilton Palace window last Saturday.

Andrew Burns (30) of 38 Swisscot Walk, pleaded not guilty this week to smashing the window from within the nightclub.

The charge stated that pieces of glass fell to the street on people standing below, and could have caused serious injury.

At Hamilton Sheriff Court on Monday, Burns pleaded not guilty to behaving in a culpable and reckless manner.

Sheriff John Stewart set the trial date for September 15 and granted Burns bail.
