A SMALL family-run haulage firm have offered a substantial reward for the return of a 40-ft trailer.
The fridge trailer van, valued at £24,000, was stolen from outside Truck Tec, at Clark Way in Bellshill Industrial Estate, between 4pm on June 6 and 11.30am the following day.
Milligan Transport, who are based in Mallaig, near Fort William, had the trailer on hire.
They used it to carry fish feed to fish farms.
While it was on hire, the front of the 40ft trailer had been damaged.
The firm had decided to have the small dent repaired and booked it into the Bellshill-firm.
However, later that day, they received a phone call to say that it had been stolen.
A spokesman for Milligan Transport said: “We are a small family-run business and having this kind of money to find to replace the trailer will be crippling for us.
“A lorry would have to have been used to take the trailer away.
“We are just hoping that we can track down the trailer and we are offering a substantial reward for any information leading to the discovery of the trailer.”
The trailer has a chassis number of VIN227744, is white and had damage to the right wing.
Anyone who has any further information on this incident should contact Bellshill Police Office on 01698 202400.
