Woman on sword charge

A BLANTYRE woman has denied carrying a sword.

Moira Canavan of Parkville Drive was alleged to be in possession of the weapon in the street on Tuesday April 8.

The 33-year-old pleaded not guilty to the charge when she appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court.

Sheriff David Bicket set Canavan’s trial for July and granted her bail.
