Probation for man who bit woman

A MAN who seized a woman by the hair before biting her on the body has been put on probation.

Stephen Milne (24), formerly of Millgate Road, Hamilton, assaulted Lisa McLean on November 13 last year in Millgate Road.

Milne also damaged windows at numbers 5 and 7 Millgate Road by throwing stones at them. He is also said to have stood in the middle of the street and committing a breach of the peace by kicking at passing cars.

Milne had denied all three charges but found guilty after a trial at Hamilton Sheriff Court. Sheriff Vincent Smith sentenced Milne, who now stays at an address in Tullibody, Clackmannanshire, to 12 months’ probation.

As a condition of the probation order he must attend a domestic abuse groupwork programme.
