Blantyre man appears in court on attempted murder charge

A BLANTYRE man was this week accused of two charges of attempted murder.

John Paul McQueen (28) appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court on petition, charged with the attempted murder of Anthony Brown, on February 24 and March 14. McQueen, of 28 Auchinraith Terrace, also faced a charge of vandalism.

He made no plea or declaration and was committed for further examination and remanded in custody. He is expected to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court today (Thursday) for full committal.
