A HAMILTON “neighbour from hell” has been found guilty of breaching an ASBO.
The order was imposed on Terence Vandeleur, of Kintore Park, last December.
It prohibited him from shouting, swearing, banging doors and playing amplified sounds loudly in his house.
But, on January 22, he breached the order “without reasonable excuse” by shouting, swearing and banging the doors of his house.
When Vandeleur appeared for trial at Hamilton Sheriff Court, he denied the ASBO breach.
But after hearing evidence, Sheriff John Stewart found the 48-year-old guilty.
Sheriff Stewart deferred sentence until later this month for a social enquiry report.
Bail was refused and Vandeleur was detained in custody.
l Vandeleur was also made the subject of an ASBO in 2006.
When the Advertiser went at that time to his home to speak to him, he refused to come to the door.
However, he later appeared at a window with a bird on his head.
Neighbours had previously complained to South Lanarkshire’s “hell neighbour” team after Vandeleur had been observed naked at his window.
In June last year, he was jailed for three months for breaching an ASBO.
He was jailed for a further five months in October for another violation of his order.
