Men remanded over fatal shooting

Two men have appeared in court charged with the murder of a man who died after he was shot in the street.

John Finnegan, 48, died in hospital after the shooting in Bank Street, Neilston, East Renfrewshire, on October 27 last year.

Francis Coates, 35, and James McCarron, 32, appeared at Paisley Sheriff Court on Monday.

Neither man made any plea to the charge and both were remanded in custody before a further court appearance this month.
