Ammunition found in country path

Boxes of military-type ammunition have been found near a country path by a walker.

The package containing 120 blank cartridges was found lying in undergrowth between Carrick Castle and Ardentinny in Argyll.

The spot is across the water from munitions depot RNAD Coulport on the banks of Loch Long and the cartridges were in a sealed dark green plastic bag with BAE systems marked on it in red letters. Inside were six cardboard boxes which each contained 20 unfired cartridges of the type used in training by the military.
