Offender management plans

The First Minister said on Thursday that the Government was working hard to assess and manage violent offenders once they are released from jail.

Alex Salmond said he was "working closely with partners to ensure the consistent assessment and management of violent offenders".

He said his Government accepted the 19 recommendations made in a multi-agency report on the issue published last year.
