Fish-farming reforms proposed

Plans to enhance the fish-farming industry and meet "surging" global demand have been unveiled.

The Scottish Government wants to reform the planning system in aquaculture, worth an estimated £367 million in 2008.

Environment Minister Roseanna Cunningham said: "According to the UN Food and Agriculture Organisation, aquaculture is the only way to meet the surging global demand for seafood.
