Transport system freeze work hailed

The public transport network has "risen to the challenge" throughout the recent freeze, Transport Minister Stewart Stevenson said.

Services faced widespread disruption and delay during the worst of the cold spell last week.

Mr Stevenson insisted that lessons will be learned from the problems but claimed passenger demand is now being met.
