Fire at power station investigated

An investigation is under way to find the cause of a fire at the UK's second biggest power station.

It took 45 firefighters nearly four hours to bring the blaze in the Longannet plant at the Firth of Forth under control.

The fire broke out in one of the turbine rooms of the coal-fired station, operated by Scottish Power, shortly after 9.20pm on Thursday night.
