Heavy rain lashes Scotland

Heavy rain has lashed parts of Scotland causing flooding and driving problems for motorists.

Part of the A9 was closed between Plean and Torwood in Central Scotland, and there was localised flooding on roads around Strathclyde and Tayside.

The west and south of Scotland was worst hit, with around an inch of rain falling at Tyndrum in Argyll and Eskdalemuir in Dumfries and Galloway.
