Cancer diagnoses were delayed

The diagnosis of lung cancer in two patients was delayed at a hospital in Scotland, a review of X-rays has found.

But the authors of the NHS Highland report said the delay did not impact significantly on the clinical care or outcome for the elderly women patients.

In total the Radiology Critical Incident Review highlighted 47 cases at Lorn and Islands District General Hospital in Oban.
