Navy's submarine begins sea trials

The biggest and most powerful attack submarine ever built for the Royal Navy has taken to the seas for the first time.

Astute set sail from Barrow-in-Furness to start her first set of sea trials and is heading to her new home of Faslane on the Clyde in Scotland.

Measuring nearly 328ft (100m) from bow to stern, Astute is longer than 10 London buses.
